With Summer right coming on, we understand the importance of staying cool inside your home. Please remember not to set the thermostat below 76 degrees. The HVAC system is designed to intermittently turn on and off in order to cool the home properly. When the thermostat is set too low, it will not shut off and the outside line to the inside unit will freeze up. Every summer many AC service calls result in the technician finding nothing wrong with the system. The temperature differential from the outside temp to the inside temp is normally 22 degrees. When temperatures reach 100 plus degrees it may not be possible to cool the home below 80 degrees. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and attention regarding this matter.

Lighting is a very important feature in a home.  When purchasing light bulbs, cheaper is not always best.  High intensity lighting can be very costly when it comes to your electric bill.  NEVER put an over wattage bulb in a fixture.  Most sockets are designed for no more than 40-60 watt bulbs.  Putting more than the recommended wattage can cause damage to the fixture and even fires.  Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Home Depot and Lowes are excellent resources when you have questions about any aspect of your home.  Most of the Department Heads have been involved in home construction or home maintenance at some point in their lives.  They are always willing to answer any questions you have about your home and they love sharing their knowledge.
