Last week in Austin we saw quite a drop in volume for properties for lease. All year we’ve been flying high in volume. Each property that we put on the market for lease has received fairly rapid applications, multiple applications and we’ve been able to raise the vast majority of the rents. While we always prefer to maintain any current, paying, reasonable tenants. The vacancies that we’ve had come up organically have been easy to fill. This week we’ve got several properties coming on the market but only a few available. One 3/2 in S. Central Austin we’ve got for $1400, another great 1/1 in East Austin received an application within about 2 days of hitting the market. We’ve also got a UT 2/2 condo coming on the market today or tomorrow.
Next week we will hopefully have a 3/2 in Travis Country, possibly a 3/2 in Plum Creek and another home which we’ve yet to see in Pflugerville.
