Following up on the stats from yesterdays blog, can you get a higher rental amount in the peak season vs. the off season? There are many ways we could look at this issue but the general question remains the same. While year over year in the Austin area rents have gone up, there also appears to be a correlation between the peak season and higher rental income/prices. Just as the winter is slower the prices are generally lower. From our quick stat Jan. appears to be the lowest while June appears to be the highest. Looks like ending a lease at the end of May isn’t such as bad idea after all. We’ll see how July’s stat look once the month is over.
